Kyogo Furuhashi has been a standout for Celtic in pre-season so far. A hat-trick against Queen’s Park last night took the Japanese frontman’s tally to four in just two friendly appearances.

The centre-forward looks reborn after somewhat of a disappointing campaign last time out.
His manager Brendan Rodgers has been pleased with how sharp he has looked since returning to action.
“He’s looking top”, said the boss (The Scottish Sun).
“He’s been very bright, I’ve got to say. He’s come back after a nice break and he’s worked very hard.
“He’s looked so bright in the games that we’ve had.
“Against Queen’s Park you could see the sharpness and brightness. So it’s really nice for him.”
Kyogo didn’t get picked to play in Japan’s recent international matches so got the whole summer to work on himself and prepare for 2024/25.
It is clear that the 29-year-old has been grafting, and his form only bodes well for the new campaign.
Although he has only played against Championship opposition thus far, finding the back of the net is a good habit, and if Kyogo keeps it up in the United States, he will be in the best possible condition going into Flag Day in a few weeks.
