Brendan Rodgers Hilarious Santa Boo Quip as Christmas Approaches

Brendan Rodgers was at his box-office best yet again this afternoon when he was quizzed about supporters’ reaction to Santa Claus this time last year.

With Celtic 2-0 down to Hearts at Celtic Park on December 16th, 2023, Santa was brought onto the pitch, only to be booed at halftime.

However, the boos were clearly more due to a poor performance that day than any dislike for Father Christmas.

With Rodgers quizzed by the media on whether Santa would be booed this year.

He said: (The Celtic Way), Hopefully, not! That was a challenging little period for us last year.

“The game is all about development and improvement and we have seen the improvement in this team and the squad.

“They are all very set on how to work and the mentality it takes to play and have the robustness to win and win. I am so pleased and we have just got to continue with that mentality.”

The turnaround in just under a year for Celtic could not be more different, going from booing Santa at halftime to the team being cheered off at halftime, 5-0 up.

Rodgers went from being doubted about why Celtic took him back to being on the verge of being begged to sign a new contract extension.

He has managed the last year as well as anything in his managerial career, turning a poor-to-watch Celtic team into an unmissable one with much of the same squad.

That says a lot about just how much of a quality coach he is and what Celtic currently have at the club.
