Brendan Rodgers masterminded yet another notable Celtic victory on Sunday as he helped his side to a dominative 4-1 win over Hearts. The Bhoys were on song in the triumph that saw them restore their seven-point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
Pre-match, many believed it was going to be tough for the champions but it was anything but that. Throughout, the Celts utterly dominated and silenced the home support.
Indeed Gorgie was muted, and Rodgers noticed this. He said (BBC Sport Scotland): “This is where you find out if you’re a good team or not. I said before the game, we’re going to have difficult moments here and that allows you to see how you’re going to deal with it and I thought the players dealt with it really really well today, and it was probably the quietest the crowd have been in the time I’ve been here.”

It would be fair to say that Celtic’s football kept the home support quiet throughout the match. Because O’Riley’s opener came early doors, any energy was sucked out of the Jambos’ fans.
Tynecastle is not the first ground Rodgers and his team have silenced this season, with the Hoops having gone to the likes of Fir Park, Pittodrie, and Ibrox and won on every single occasion.
Their away record has been undisputed in 2023/24 and it will be hoped it can be continued as long as the campaign transpires.
