Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers was full of praise for Hoops goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel post-match, with the Dane making a huge save to keep the game level against Dinamo Zagreb.
Despite the game at times proving very tactical, with each side struggling to find the opener, two huge moments in the game tested Schmeichel, in particular with him getting down low to save from Martin Baturina after the restart and making a flying tip-over from Marko Pjaca’s header.
With Rodgers discussing how important the save from Pjaca’s effort was in securing a point away from home in the Champions League.
He said: (BBC Sport), “It was an important save for us, especially towards the end of the game. He’s a top goalkeeper. When he was needed he made an important save for us.”

With Schmeichel winning Man of the Match against Hibernian at Celtic Park on Saturday, he was yet again in top form last night, with those two stops being one of the main reasons the Hoops were able to go one point closer to the Champions League knockout playoffs.
The Danish goalkeeper certainly had big boots to fill in Joe Hart, but he has lived up to the hype with an impressive career that saw him win the English Premier League and FA Cup with Leicester City.
At 38 years old, he appears to have a few years ahead of him, with the 2026 World Cup in his sights with Denmark.
