Former Celtic assistant manager Chris Davies – who worked under Brendan Rodgers during his first spell in Glasgow – has left Ange Postecoglou’s side at Tottenham Hotspur to take up his first managerial role.
Davies contributed significantly towards the making of history at the Hoops, playing a key role in the Invincibles season and double treble success.

It was somewhat of a surprise when he was appointed as departing Hoops manager Ange Postecoglou’s assistant at Spurs last summer but after only a year in North London, he will move to the Midlands.
Indeed, the 39-year-old has taken up the managerial position at English League One side Birmingham City.
Davies replaces ex-Celtic boss Tony Mowbray in the dugout, penning a four-year-deal at St. Andrew’s.
Tom Brady and Co. have shown a wealth of faith in the Watford native. Highly rated as a coach, Davies is relatively unproven as a manager.
It will be intriguing to see what he can conjure up in Birmingham as the apprentice to several top Celtic gaffers looks to prove his credentials and put what he has learned into practice.
