Stephen McGowan of the Daily Mail usually has the scoop when it comes to Celtic.
The journalist has claimed in the last 24 hours that Celtic midfielder Ryan Christie is in demand.
McGowan credits French side Nice with a big interest but he has also surprisingly claimed Brendan Rodgers has now entered the race to sign his former player.
Written in MailSport the Journo claims after Brendan’s failed attempt to land Edouard, he’s not come calling for another one of his former players.
Rodgers sent Christie out on loan twice to Aberdeen before giving him a chance in the first team. Christie excelled and quickly became a fixture in Rodgers’ Celtic side.
IF reports are true, Ryan is in the final six months of his contract, Leicester would be able to pick the Celtic star up on the cheap.
Rodgers knows Ryan’s deal ends at the end of this year and the player’s free to talk to clubs as of now. Someone at Celtic sanctioned a deal that would see Christie’s deal run out midway through the season.
