Brendan Rodgers discussed Celtic’s incredible year, which has included a full year unbeaten at home, this afternoon.
With Celtic ending the year with a 4-0 win at Celtic Park against St Johnstone, it means the Hoops have gone unbeaten at home across all competitions for the first time since 2006 under Gordon Strachan.
The Irishman was in a positive mood post-match in a year that has included winning the Scottish Premiership, Scottish Cup, and Premier Sports Cup, with Celtic defeating Rangers in both finals.
He said: (Celtic FC YouTube channel), “I said to the players afterwards, I’m very, very proud. Firstly, as the Celtic manager, because when we look back on the statistics of this season, it really will be a historical season for us in terms of numbers and what we’ve achieved. So, from that perspective, I’m very, very proud.
“As a Celtic supporter, I look and see what these guys give to the team and what they give every day of their lives, and also the staff all around the club – the team that’s working very closely with the players. Everyone.
“It’s been a really, really special season for us, winning three trophies but also having that humility and perseverance to keep improving. So, I think, as a manager, I’m very, very proud of 2024, and I’m really excited by what 2025 can bring.”

The future for Celtic is bright with the Glasgow Derby ahead on Thursday at Ibrox, as Celtic look back to their scintillating best.
However, for the time being, supporters should be proud of what has been a sensational year, beginning with a 3-0 win against St Mirren at the SMISA Stadium.
Rodgers has Celtic playing some beautiful football, and after doubts from a small number of supporters over his return to the club, he has shown that he is truly one of the great Celtic managers.
His legacy at the Hoops is increasing season by season.
He has come back and demonstrated his class, turning the team around from struggling at Christmas last season to a full year unbeaten at home.
