Brendan Rodgers Brilliant Response to Celtic Christmas Ad

In a delightful twist to Celtic’s festive celebrations, Brendan Rodgers has warmly embraced the humour in the club’s latest Christmas advert.

The advert, which highlights Japanese star Kyogo, also features a clever nod to Rodgers’ journey with the club. The memorable scene humorously shows a shop worker rediscovering Rodgers’ autobiography, dusting it off, and returning it to the shelves, symbolising his reinstated popularity among fans.

Rodgers, who faced an angry reactions after his departure to Leicester City in 2019, has since reclaimed his place at Celtic Park. His return was notably celebrated during a victory over Hearts, where fans sang his name in unison. A ground where a banner was unfurled just after Rodgers left calling him a fraud.

Speaking at the club’s AGM, Rodgers expressed his amusement and appreciation for the advert’s playful approach. “Oh no, it was brilliant!” he commented. He acknowledged the media team’s cautious presentation, adding, “At least it’s back out on the shelves again rather than in the box…but yeah, I thought it was a nice touch.”

This humorous and heartfelt moment in the advert not only showcases the festive spirit at Celtic but also highlights the forgiving and jovial nature of the club and its supporters.
