Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has expressed his weariness over the ongoing discussions about Astro pitches, particularly in the context of the team’s upcoming match against Kilmarnock.

In the build-up to matches against Kilmarnock and Livingston, the conversation seems to revolve around their pitches, and there’s always a question about them at the press conferences.
The manager’s focus seems to have shifted from the pitch conditions to the team’s overall performance.
As quoted by RecordSport, Brendan Rodgers said: “I am bored talking about it, to be honest. It bores the life out of me talking about plastic pitches.
“We weren’t good enough last time but hopefully we can be this time. In terms of the football aspect, the structure of the team is much better now.”
Kilmarnock’s decision to revert to a grass pitch next term is a development that will be welcomed by many in the Scottish Premiership, including Rodgers, who has been vocal about his dislike for artificial surfaces. Celtic’s previous outing on Kilmarnock’s 4G pitch resulted in an exit from the Viaplay Cup, adding to Rodgers’ aversion.
Celtic’s Maik Nawrocki picked up an injury in the dying seconds of Celtic’s League Cup match on Killie’s plastic pitch.
