Brendan Rodgers has addressed questions about his contract at Celtic, reaffirming his commitment to the club while downplaying immediate discussions about an extension.

The manager, who returned to Celtic in the summer of 2022 on a three-year deal, is now midway through his tenure, with one year remaining come next summer.
His return sparked a mixed reaction; some were all for it, while other fans still had sore feelings about his exit in 2019.
He soon made it up to fans, delivering a domestic double on his return. And Celtic have continued in fine form this season. They are sitting at the top of the league, nine points ahead of Rangers and chasing a knockout spot in the new-look Champions League.
When asked about his future, Rodgers reflected on comments made during his unveiling:
“What did I say on my first day?” he quipped, with CeltsAreHere in attendance.
When the reporter reminded him of his initial three-year commitment, Rodgers responded with a smile:
“Absolutely. Unless I get bumped early—I don’t think I used that word! Listen, I said I’d be here for three years. By then, I’ll have done nearly six years at Celtic. That’s a long time as Celtic manager.
“For nearly a year, more people wanted me out than in, so I’m not going to be talking about new contracts now!
“I just need to continue to work well and do my very best for the club. I’m pretty sure at some point next season, we can see how we’re going and take it from there. But at the moment, I love my life here and it’s an amazing club to work for.
“Going away and then coming back has made it even better for me because I knew what I had missed when I was away. So I’m not in a rush to leave again.
“They say as you get older the biggest currency you have is time. When you get to 51 and you get older you realise that. Time with the people you love and your family, your workplace, I’d have to agree with that.
“Where I am at the minute, I’m in a brilliant place, so keep it that way.”
The manager is clearly loving his time in Glasgow at the moment and isn’t looking for a quick exit.
When he first came in, he set out his aims and looked to make an impact in Europe. Last season, the foundations were laid through performances, and this campaign, the results are coming, with Celtic on seven points after four games, and have two home ties and two away ties left to play.
