Keevins painted a gloomy picture of Celtic’s prospects, speculating that Rodgers might seek an exit from the club following a challenging December, despite having one of the hardest starts to the league possible and coming out the other end eight points clear.
However, Rodgers, in stark contrast to these claims, has made it clear that he is both “relaxed and focused” and is thoroughly enjoying his time back at Celtic.
He emphasised his love for working with the current Celtic squad and expressed excitement about the team’s future and potential for improvement.
He said: [Sunday Post]
“Relaxed but focused. I am loving my time back on and off the pitch. Loving working with the players, a brilliant group who are committed. And I am really excited by the future and improvement.”
Rodgers’ comments and approach suggest a long-term vision and a commitment to the club’s progress. He has been actively discussing various aspects of the team, including the development of youth players, long-term plans for recent signings, and strategies for the January transfer window and beyond.
