Turnbull has been liked with Celtic for a couple of weeks with The bhoys registering their interest in the SPFL young player of the year. However, Motherwell have warned it will take the club’s record fee to be broken for the Steelmen to part with their star player.

Celtic signed Phil O’Donnell back in the 90s for £1.75m and that figure still stands today as the biggest fee Motherwell have received.

It’s thought the SPFL side want £3million for Turnbull.

At the age of 19, the midfielder has shown a lot of promise and chipped in with 15 goals from the centre of the park.

Motherwell have every right to ask for top dollar and with more than one club interested they may well get what they want.
