As Celtic work through a hectic festive fixture schedule, the January transfer window appears not far on the horizon.
With nine games alone next month amid no Scottish football winter break this season, it is the perfect opportunity for Brendan Rodgers to strengthen his squad as he makes a big push in the second half of the campaign domestically and in Europe.

There are several key areas of the Celtic squad which need addressing, although, according to The Scottish Sun, signing a winger is at the top of Rodgers’ to-do list next month.
Luis Palma and Yang Hyun-jun’s performances against Dundee United on Sunday left much to be desired. James Forrest is also out long-term.
Some depth out wide is desperately needed because, especially in the first half of this season, Celtic have overly relied on the likes of Daizen Maeda and Nicolas Kuhn.
The club have reportedly had scouts scouring Europe to compile a list of potential January targets.
The news comes after Rodgers held a transfer summit in Dublin last week with Celtic’s major shareholder, Dermot Desmond, Chief Executive Michael Nicholson, and Chief Financial Officer Chris McKay.
Plans for next month were likely discussed then, as the Scottish Premiership champions continually look to build from a position of strength.
