Box Office Celtic – Euro Rivals Clamour to Get Hoops Tickets

Celtic are proving to be a Box Office attraction in the Europa League if Copenhagen ticket sales are anything to go by.

Celtic were drawn against the Danish side this week in the European competition and the pair now face a double header in February.

With the away leg first up for Celtic, it looks like the bhoys are for a red hot atmosphere with 21,000 tickets already snapped up by Copenhagen fans according to RecordSport.

It’s a 38,000 all seater stadium but early ticket sales mean this might just sell out before all is said and done.

To put this into perspective – Copenhagen only managed 23,000 against Dynamo in the group stages and that was with the away fans counted. Only 18,000 tickets sold against Lugano. There crunch tie with Malmo which is a Scandinavian derby pulled 32,000 punters in and early projections suggest they may go beyond this for the Celtic tie.

Celtic are still waiting to find out how many briefs they’ll be getting for the trip. The home side likely to make that call once they know how many of their own support want to pack the stadium. It’s likely Celtic will get around 2.5k for the trip.
