CELTIC has released a Burns Day-themed video with Greg Taylor teaching new signing Alistair Johnston some Scottish slang.
Johnston himself is Canadian but does claim to have some family links to Scotland and elsewhere in the UK.
He sat with Greg Taylor and tried to work out what the Scottish phrases meant, and was pretty accurate with some of the guesses, but struggled with the obscure ones. The left-back also learned a few new phrases in the 8-minute-long video.
Phrases from “Bolt ye rocket” to “Mad wi it” made an appearance.
The pair had a good laugh with the phrases and it was an enjoyable watch. Short videos like this are great, and the club have stepped up their game recently, with constant uploads of similar videos on the youtube channel.
It gives great insight into what the players are really like off the pitch, as the bond between the fans and the squad continues to strengthen.
