The Transfer Gossip today that John Guidetti would welcome a return to Parkhead has been met with mixed reviews.
We must stress this is just silly transfer gossip, but we love a good rumour and the debate to be had over potential incomings to Celtic brightens up our day during a bleak international break.
John Guidetti, currently of Alaves has been linked with a move away from the La Liga club just months after he signed on a permanent deal.
The report suggested Turkish side Galatasaray are interested in bringing the player in but the striker would welcome a return to Scotland.
Celtic are looking for a striker after the departure of Moussa Dembele.
However, this seems like it’s pure fantasy. Guidetti left the club under a bit of a cloud and acted like he was better than Celtic.
Unless the player has matured significantly, there is NO CHANCE his ego would allow him to say anything of the sort about a Parkhead return.
This could be mischief making by an agent in order to whip up interest in his players.
On the debate of whether he would be welcomed back – There has been more of a negative reaction than a positive one but there are some Celtic fans who would take him back.
Guidetti wants a move back to Celtic.
