Boli Receives Government Endorsed Fine

Boli Bolingoli is now self-isolating for seven days with his Celtic career in tatters this evening. The player has caused a major problem for the club by dismissing the guidelines set out by the Scottish government so football could return.

Celtic have come down hard publicly and are now looking into disciplinary measures for Boli.

Before that, the defender has received a paltry fine from the police for the breaking of lockdown rules, failing to isolate after returning from Spain. The fine is £495 according to SunSport, a drop in the ocean for a footballer on Boli’s salary.

The Belgian has garnered a lot of heat for his actions over the past 24 hours and rightly so. By doing what he did, he put his teammates and others at risk and as a consequence, the club can’t play their next two fixtures. It’s a sorry state of affairs.

There’s certainly no way back for the defender at Celtic if you seen Celtic’s statement today.
