RANGERS Review journalist Jonny McFarlane had quite the night on Saturday, seeing his tweet go around Twitter.

The journalist infamously wrote that Barrie McKay is Scotland’s “most Gifted talent” while claiming that the Celtic breakthrough start Kieran Tierney was “decent.
The screenshot of the headline was thrown at him on Saturday night, and the journalist snapped back, doubling down on his take from years ago.
Instead of holding his hands up, and admitting he got it wrong, he instead states that the now Hearts player is “far more technically gifted” than the Arsenal and Scotland full-back.
He then insisted that “anyone with eyes” could state that horrendous and simply untrue statement.
Barrie is far more technically gifted than Tierney. Anyone with a eyes can see that.

It’s actually laughable that McFarlane is gaslighting himself and others into believing this; it’s embarrassing.
I’d say that Celtic loanee, Mikey Johnston, who’s probably going to struggle to get minutes in this Celtic team is “far more technically gifted” than Barrie McKay.
In a few years time no doubt someone will have a comparison of the players’ career with a screenshot of Jonny’s article. But, until then, we can keep enjoying the delusion.
