Blackpool Closing in on Permanent Celtic Winger Deal

It was last summer when Ange took over and the squad was down to the bare minimum that we saw Owen Moffat get some minutes in pre-season. The winger got a couple of goals and looked very lively on the wing.

It was a time when Celtic fans were looking at the squad and specifically who could make the breakthrough from the academy to the first team. There was a belief Owen was the man to at least perforate the first team squad.

It never transpired for Owen who played in the Lowland League for the majority of the season.

At the beginning of this season, Owen hasn’t had a look in and the talent we have in his position means there’s no chance he’s getting game time.

Record Sport is reporting the player is now closing in on a PERMANENT move away from the club to kick start his first team career.

CeltsAreHere has been told from sources at Celtic, Owen is desperate to get first team football and develop. He can’t see that happening at the Scottish Champions and wants to cut ties altogether.

Blackpool are ready to offer Owen a three-year deal and the chance of playing first team football. It will be a shame to see Owen go, but he has to do what’s best for his career. Will Celtic allow the permanent deal to go ahead? Or would they prefer Moffat went out on loan?
