Bitter Pundit’s Real Reason for Celtic Anger

Celtic upset a lot of their fans and were widely criticised for their trip to Dubai during the week. It stands to reason considering where we are at the minute with this pandemic.

However, even Kris Boyd can take a legitimate gripe and narcissistically turn it into some bitter bashing.

During his SunSport column the monster munch specialist kept bringing up Celtic not playing games they had in hand this week instead of going and how his old Rangers team had to play out the end of the 07/08 season with no help.

Firstly, that’s absolutely wrong, fixtures were moved to accommodate Rangers and their run to the UEFA Cup final. The league was finished in a Thursday night because the league wanted to help them out. The helicopter flying over Tannadice with a title for Tommy should have happened before it did.

Don’t tell Kris that though, he’s clearly still raging they blew the league and the UEFA cup final and wants to blame someone else — it is their way.

“They should have been at home in Scotland playing at least one of the games they’ve got in hand. In fact, thinking back to how we at Rangers were forced to play three league games in just five days at the end of the 2007/08 season, maybe they could have got two of their extra matches out of the way.

“It could have been Rangers at Ibrox last Saturday then Livingston on Tuesday, Aberdeen on Friday and Hibs on Monday night.

“That kind of schedule was good enough for Rangers 13 years ago, wasn’t it?

“Remember when sporting integrity was all we heard about and how the season had to be finished before the Scottish Cup final.

“Hang on a minute, didn’t Celtic just beat Hearts to lift the trophy seven months later than it should have been? I’m going off topic.

Just a bit off topic. Another timely reminder that this guy is obsessed with Celtic. It’s all his columns encompass, even when the side he supports is leading the league comfortably. It’s another reason why he should not be allowed to work Celtic games, he can’t and won’t be objective.
