SHANE DUFFY captains his country tonight against England in what will be a fiercely contested game.
The Irishman was dropped for Celtic’s game against Motherwell last weekend but did see some game time late on when Kristoffer Ajer came off with an injury.
Shane has had a tough start to his Celtic career; his performances have seen him make some pretty glaring errors. Tonight is a chance to show what he can do against top opposition.
There’s still hope among some that the Irishman will come good in the coming weeks and months; hopefully helping us to history.
Tonight, he could regain some of his confidence by putting in a solid performance.
Celtic are not due to play until next Saturday, there’s plenty of time between now and then to show the manager he can be trusted. Christopher Jullien is on the way back so competition for places will be there.
