‘Better team than Celtic in every department’ – Keevins Tears Into Club

While Celtic didn’t play near good enough on the day during the Glasgow Derby, you can’t deny they’re a good team going through a very bad patch.

The trophies they’ve won and the pressure they’ve done through – especially last season, should be commended.

Not if you’re Hugh Keevins.

The radio pundit has made the claim our rivals are better than us in EVERY department.

We are all for a bit of hyperbole and sensationalism but Keevins always likes to take it to some weird places.

This isn’t a blog in denial about our own situation, it’s simply calling out this simple message as utter nonsense.

Celtic have struggled this season but last time we checked, we were only four points behind our ‘better in every department’ rivals with a game in hand.

Being so close in the league, it’s crazy how one team is sensational and the other is just not good enough.

Keevins wrote in his record column.

“Rangers have a better team than Celtic in every department on the pitch.

“It’s a major problem if you have to finish above them in order to win 10 In A Row

“Neil and I have been round the block several times – rows, bans, the whole enchilada.

“But it gives me no pleasure to say his demeanour now is that of a man carrying a burden of responsibility and unsure if
he has the quality of player
who can help him with the heavy lifting.

“There’s a big challenge for Celtic right now and supporters accept that. If you listened to Hugh, it would be time to give up and start planning for next season.”

There’s a long way to go in this title race and for the last 6 weeks at least, we’ve not been able to field our strongest side.

We’re hoping for a reaction at Pittodrie today, if the bhoys get three points, we can slowly start to turn the screw.
