Celtic’s European exploits over the past few years haven’t filled fans with much encouragement.
Losses to RB Leipzig, Lazio, Feyenoord, and Atletico Madrid have disappointed supporters massively but from the season gone by, a few Champions League positives can be taken.

Indeed, compared to 2022/23, the Hoops doubled their points tally and won a home game in Europe’s premier club competition for the first time in over a decade.
A standout in an otherwise disheartening continental campaign was Luis Palma. Despite his inconsistencies and frustrating performances throughout the past year, the Honduran proceeded to score two goals in four Champions League starts.
The winger bagged against both Atletico Madrid and Feyenoord, with his strike against the former getting some recent UEFA recognition.
On Thursday, the official Instagram account of the Champions League posted asking what the best celebration from a selection of videos was.
The likes of Jude Bellingham, Jamal Musiala, and Vinicius Jr were all included, along with Palma, who could be seen dancing away after netting a memorable strike versus Atleti:

With a full pre-season behind his back, it will be intriguing to see what Palma can conjure up.
It is fair to say he was inconsistent in the recent campaign, but the 24-year-old will want to improve and earn himself a constant place in Brendan Rodgers’ starting eleven in 2024/25.
