Belgian FA Hit Back at UEFA as SPFL Get Set for Summit

THE Belgian FA have hit back at UEFA over video conference call with the European body raging the Belgian League has been called already.

The Belgian FA took the decision to crown Brugge Champions with no sign of football being played any time soon.

However, UEFA appear to be in denial about the severity and length of the pandemic in front of us. They also care little for the financial repercussions of this season hanging over many clubs heads across Europe.

In a nutshell, they’re trying to protect their own competitions and they’re reaction to Belgium’s decision has been very poor on the surface of it.

The SPFL will have a meeting on Monday to discuss the ramifications and the reality of what’s in front of us.

Getting the clubs in a position to hit the ground running for next season has to be the priority. If this season is wrapped up in some form, it will allow clarity and clubs to gain access to funds as well as advertise their season tickets more effectively.

UEFA just don’t get it.
