Celtic have already been linked with a few players for the January transfer window despite it being November. One of the said players is South Korean midfielder Jeong Ho-Yeon.
The 23-year-old has been a constant in K. League side Gwangju’s starting lineup over the past few seasons. He impressed as his team were promoted from the second tier in 2022, although his manager has revealed the Scottish champions have yet to table an over for him.

Lee Jung-Hyo has already stated one of his key men wouldn’t be ready for a Scottish switch. This time around, though, he said (Sporki): “He (Jung) told me first (about the speculation). I didn’t ask him, and I didn’t get an offer. It’s like a thief stealing my foot, I don’t ask, but he talks about it, so I just talk about it.”
It will be intriguing to see if Celtic proceeds to pursue this deal. Brendan Rodgers already has a plethora of talented midfielders in his squad, one that he is looking to trim in January rather than excessively add to.
