BBC Pundit in Ibrox Rant – Challenges Scottish Football

MICHAEL STEWART went on an impassioned rant about the governance of Scottish Football and how incidents are being dealt with.

After last season when sectarian chanting, things being thrown and players being accosted there has been no real effort by clubs and the SPFL to deal with it.

We’ve had Scott Brown approached by a fan at Ibrox getting in his face and the club going unpunished. Even last season the reckless way some Celtic fans used pyro, throwing it onto a pitch and it going off near a professional trying to do his job.

There should be no tit for tat or no he’s worse than me. It’s simple, the more any of these things are allowed to go unchallenged then it’s a breeding ground for more idiocy.

The Ibrox fans caving in a disabled roof is a shocker but the Ibrox club’s response to it was pretty poor.

Deterents must be put in place and the SPFL must find a pair and be consistent when it comes to dangerous incidents which could end in badly injured fans or players.

Here was Michael’s rant about the current climate.
