Former Celtic academy player Liam Morrison is on the brink of stepping up into the Bayern Munich first team.
The 19-year-old left Celtic’s youth ranks in the summer of 2019, transferring straight into Bayern Munich’s under-17 set-up.
He played 19 times for the Bayern Munich II side last season, with two of those appearances coming in the UEFA Youth League.
Now, after last season’s success and a new contract, he’s looking to impress in pre-season to continue his progression and attempt to push into the senior side.
He’s been selected, along with other youth players, to join the senior side in pre-season to continue his development. He’ll be keen to impress boss Julian Nagelsmann in training and show why he deserves a chance with the team.

Celtic Look To Be Offering Similar Chances
After fans have expressed their frustrations at how Celtic treats their youth players, things look to be changing. With the introduction of the B side into the Lowland League, players have a better opportunity to develop. Celtic B also trains alongside the first team and some players have stepped up into the senior side as they travel to Austria for a pre-season camp.
