CELTIC have been linked with a move for Mitchell Bakker over the past few days. [SkySports]
The Scottish Champions were looking to loan the player in for the season while he remains down the pecking order at PSG. There are two full-backs in front of Mitchell right now but he has already had a taste of first team action.
The same reports say that although Celtic have been knocked back for the player, they could come again before the end of the window and the bhoys would have to be patient in order to land the former Ajax man.
Speaking about a move to Celtic, the player seemed less sure about a move and admitted he hadn’t heard about the interest from Scotland.
“I have not heard anything about Celtic (wanting him on loan). I want to stay with PSG and get even more game-time.” Bakker told NOS.
Celtic are in the market for a left-sided players and believe Bakker could be the man for the job. They have also looked at Charlton player Alfie Doughty, who would be someone the club could get on a permanent deal instead of a loan.
