Celtic fans will be allowed to travel to Germany for their Champions League play-off second leg against Bayern Munich, despite initial fears of a ban.
The club had urged supporters to hold off on making travel arrangements after UEFA investigated the use of fireworks in their final group-stage match away to Aston Villa . However, rather than imposing a ban on the travelling support, UEFA has instead fined Celtic £8,000.
While Celtic have more than enough to cover such a paltry fine, it adds to the pile of money the club has paid out over the past ten years.
Rodgers Boosted by Away Support

Brendan Rodgers will be delighted by the decision, as a strong Celtic backing in the Allianz Arena could be vital in what is expected to be a tough test against the Bundesliga giants.
The first leg takes place this Wednesday at Celtic Park, with the return match set for a week later in Germany . With the tournament now at the knockout phase, the Hoops will be hoping their fans can help inspire another famous European night.
A Game of Hope and Expectation
Celtic reached the knockout phase on merit, securing a memorable home victory over RB Leipzig . However, their European campaign hasn’t been without its struggles—most notably, the 7-1 collapse away to Borussia Dortmund.
Going into this tie, fans will carry hope more than expectation. Bayern Munich are heavy favourites, but football has a habit of surprising us. On any given day, if everything falls into place, you never know—Celtic have upset the odds before, and they’ll be looking to do it again.
