Auston Trusty has earned a call-up to the USMNT for their upcoming international fixtures, marking his first inclusion in over a year.
The defender made the £6 million move to Celtic on deadline day and appeared on the bench for the Hoops in their 3-0 Glasgow Dervy win.

Unlike Engels and McCowan, he was not given his debut. But then how could Brendan Rodgers disrupt Scales and Carter-Vickers, who were both playing so well at the back?
No Call-Up for CCV
Trusty’s fellow countryman Cameron Carter-Vickers has not been selected for the national squad this time around. This decision likely stems from a precautionary measure taken following an injury scare. Carter-Vickers was seen leaving Celtic Park wearing a moon boot after a commanding performance in the recent win against Rangers, which initially sparked concerns about a serious injury. However, it has since been reported that the boot was used as a precaution and he is expected to recover in time for Celtic’s match against Hearts post-international break.

Having Carter-Vickers fit and available for the run from September into October is going to be vital. He’s a key figure in the backline, and the Hoops have some Champions League ties to negotiate, while league duty continues.
