The Celtic manager has been given a hard time by Celtic supporters and rightly so for the way he managed his post-match comments on Wednesday night.
The Irishman was clearly angry and frustrated but having a go at wantaway players was something nobody wants to see. He implored anyone who wasn’t interested to leave after the Champions League defeat but today, a more measured Neil Lennon wants them to stay.

The manager is right, this is a big season and we must look to keep stars at the club. However, if there are wantaway players, which there clearly is, it should be dealt with in-house and those players can get their moves if the price is right.
As much as what he said in public was not helpful, it’s important we have a committed squad for the rest of this season. If a bad result happens again, Neil must respond more professionally.
