Atletico Madrid defender Jose Gimenez made his way into the Celtic dressing room after the match on Wednesday night in the Spanish capital.

However, the purpose of his visit was not to gloat over Atletico’s resounding 6-0 victory, but to make a heartfelt request on behalf of a fan.
Celtic had endured a tough evening in Madrid, with their Champions League hopes dealt a severe blow. The team suffered a heavy defeat, compounded by the first-half sending off of Daizen Maeda, which left them a player short for the majority of the game.
Gimenez approached Celtic winger Luis Palma with a special request: to gift his match shirt to a Honduran Atletico staff member who greatly admired him. [RecordSport]
The gesture was warmly received by Palma, who obliged and later took part in a photograph with the fan.

Palma responded to the post, saying: “A pleasure Denia!! A big hug.”
The Honduran winger has been a real hit at Celtic so far, especially as far as goals are concerned. There are still some elements of his game where he can improve, but early signs are promising.
