Brendan Rodgers has said he doesn’t know if Celtic will make any new signings before tonight’s Champions League registration deadline.
The Hoops take on Kairat Almaty at Celtic Park on Wednesday night in the first leg of their play-off tie. UEFA rules mean Celtic can still register two extra players up until 11pm tonight.
Speaking to CeltsAreHere ahead of the game, Rodgers gave an honest update, admitting he’s preparing to go into the match with the players he already has.
He said: “Well, that’s what I’m feeling at this moment in time.
“So the players that we have will be the players that I trust that can do the job.
“And if we can get some players in before then, then that would be amazing.
“But the focus has been very much on what is here at this moment.”
Celtic have until 11pm tonight to register any late signings for the tie, with UEFA allowing two changes to the squad list up to a day before the first leg.

With a number of players already named, the Irishman will rely on those currently in the squad when Kairat Almaty come to town.
Plenty of players have been linked during the summer, but anyone hoping for a late arrival tonight might have to wait a bit longer.
