Arsenal’s Big Money Move for Defender Shows Contempt for Celtic

ARSENAL look like they’re comfortable paying £25m for a defender, just not Kieran Tierney.

The London club have only put in one bid for Kieran Tierney this transfer window and since then the reporting surrounding the move has been relentless. However, there has been no movement whatsoever and Celtic have never been given a hard decision to make for their defender.

While the reports still rage it on, it appears as if Arsenal are set to shell out £25m to land William Saliba from St Etienne’s. Saliba, 18, has only played 19 top flight games in his career to date but according to The Standard, Arsenal are set to snap him up for that hefty fee.

Kieran Tierney is still on the road to recovery after a double hernia operation, the Celtic defender missed a good chunk of last season with a hip problem. The bhoys will want to get him fit so he can get back in the team and show everyone what he can do.
