Kieran Tierney was an unused substitute as he looked on from the bench while PSG claimed a 1-0 victory in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final at the Emirates last night.

Mikel Arteta would decide against using Tierney, opting instead to play 18-year-old Myles Lewis-Skelly for the full 90 minutes at left-back — despite Tierney often impressing the Arsenal support when given the chance.

With Tierney set to return on a four-year deal, his best years will be at the Hoops. Currently aged 27, he comes with proven experience in the Premier League and La Liga, returning as a better player than he was when he left in 2019.
Celtic supporters will no doubt be excited to hear just how highly rated Tierney is by the Arsenal supporters, who have watched him week in, week out over the last five and a half years.
