Celtic were busy on transfer deadline day. The Hoops brought three players through the door late on as Brendan Rodgers finally strengthened his squad.
Auston Trusty came in for £6m from Sheffield United, while boyhood Celt Luke McCowan made the move from fellow Scottish Premiership side Dundee. Celtic’s marquee deal of the day, though, saw them bring in hot Bundesliga prospect Arne Engels.
The champions broke their transfer record to sign the 20-year-old, paying Augsburg £11m for his services.
Engels comes in to replace the departing Matt O’Riley, and there are high hopes for him in Glasgow’s east end.
He arrived at Parkhead late on deadline day to seal his transfer after a whirlwind few hours which also saw him earn a senior Belgium call-up.
On Saturday night, Engels finally got the chance to wind down and post on Instagram.

Engels could be involved in today’s Glasgow derby. He likely won’t start the match, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see him be given a baptism of fire off the bench.
