Celtic midfielder Arne Engels has been again called up to play for the Belgian national team.

The club’s record signing made his first cap for his country during the last international break.
He has now been included in Belgium’s squad to face Italy and France in UEFA Nations League matches later this month. Manager Domenico Tedesco picked as strong a group as he could:

Engels’ call-up coincides with his almost perfect start to life at Celtic.
The midfielder hasn’t let his hefty ÂŁ11m transfer fee affect him in the slightest, standing out on several occasions.
Engels coolly netted from the spot on his maiden Hoops start versus Hearts, once more scoring a penalty a few days later in the UEFA Champions League against Slovan Bratislava.
He made a positive impact from the bench in the league cup against Falkirk and didn’t put a foot wrong in last weekend’s 6-0 thumping of St. Johnstone.
Although he gave away a penalty on Tuesday against Borussia Dortmund, the 21-year-old was the architect of Celtic’s sole positive from the match, whipping a deep cross into the box for Daizen Maeda to bundle home.
Engels will look to continue his rich vein of form when he goes away with his country to face some top international sides.
