Celtic’s new head of sports science, Anton McElhone, appears to be continuing to get to work behind the scenes.
This afternoon, the club announced that they would be linking up with sports nutrition company – The Turmeric Co, which former professional football Hal Robson-Kanu owns.

Since joining the club in September, this is the second similar sort of deal that McElhone has played a part in after the club signed up with Soccer Supplements, which is well known for working with clubs and international sides across the globe.
Speaking about the clubs latest link-up, McElhone said:
“Excellence in terms of nutrition is a crucial element in football in order to assist endurance, recovery as well as general health and performance, so we are pleased to be partnering with a leading organisation in this area.
“We really look forward to working together with The Turmeric Co and their innovative products.”
It is good to see that in the first few months since coming to the club, the new head of sports science is working to improve all different aspects at Lennoxtown.
In recent press conferences, we have heard both Ange Postecoglou and Callum McGregor speak about the work the former Tottenham has been getting up to behind the scenes, and today’s announcement is more proof of that.
Hopefully, we can continue to see improvements on this sort of thing, including the impact it may have on the park for Ange Postecoglou and his side.
