RB Leipzig’s interest in Nicolas Kuhn has been backed by Sky Sports’ Anthony Joseph, who confirmed his German counterpart’s report that the pursuit of the Celtic winger could intensify in the coming days.

However, at this stage, no official bids have been submitted for the 25‑year‑old, and Joseph reports that no concrete talks have been held, despite some reports suggesting that talks were at an advanced stage.
It’s hardly a surprise that Kuhn has attracted interest from German clubs. He had an impressive campaign last season, registering 21 goals and 15 assists in all competitions – including key performances in the Champions League, one of which came against RB Leipzig.
Of course, speculation about his future is nothing new – when his former club in the Bundesliga expresses interest, it’s bound to cause tongues to wag. Yet, sources indicate that while Celtic are aware of the interest, there haven’t been any formal offers laid on the table yet.
That said, should Leipzig or any other club submit a bid in the region of £15 million, Celtic will have a decision to make. The Hoops will undoubtedly demand a hefty fee for a player who has become one of their most productive forwards, despite his fall off at the end of the season. RB Leipzig may represent a tempting destination for Kuhn, but whether Celtic are prepared to let go – and at what price – remains to be seen.
