Until today we really hadn’t had much to go on with Vasilis Barkas because he hadn’t really been tested. Today against Ross County he certainly had to play his part and came up with a number of great saves.
The media narrative on the Celtic goalkeeper has been shocking considering they’ve not had a big sample size of his work. Kris Commons was very critical of the goalkeeper in recent weeks.
It’s crazy to think he’s had to answer critics today but the goalkeeper certainly did just that with his performance.
Barkas will take so much confidence away from the game today and it shows Celtic fans unsure of his credentials that he can do the business.
