Another Sky Sports Celtic Fail as Pundit Doesn’t Learn Lesson

CELTIC have yet to be beaten in the Europa League but tell that to our former player Charlie Nicholas who likes to tip us to lose a lot.

The Sky Sports pundit put Celtic’s win against Lazio at Celtic Park down to luck and a bit of fortune. Nothing to do with dig and endeavour on the night.

So when it came to his Celtic prediction for Rome on Thursday night, was he going to tip Celtic to give the home side a bloody nose? Of course, not!

Nicholas said Celtic had to take a scalp eventually and that’s what they did at home but there was no way they were getting anything from the game in Italy.

“I am feeling a bit awkward about this one. Celtic did brilliantly to beat them with a last-gasp winner first time around.” Charlie told Sky Sports.

“I did flag up a 2-1 win, but they were fortunate. Celtic needed to take a good scalp eventually.

“Lazio will be angry and agitated as they should have gone two or three up at Celtic Park. The Serie A side must win here to stay in the group. Cluj will win I think so it may come down to head-to-head with these two sides. Lazio went fourth in Serie A and will get their revenge in this one.”

CHARLIE PREDICTS: 1-0

Celtic went 1-0 down early on against Lazio but that would be it for the Italians who started the game well but fell away. Celtic getting an equaliser before half time through James Forrest’s thumping effort sent the bhoys on their way. When a draw looked on the cards a slip up from Lazio let Celtic in and Old Ntcham scored the coolest of chips to make it 2-1 with no time left on the clock – Lazio 1-2 Celtic.

Just like the Rennes game where he gave us no chance we turn up again and make him look spectacularly wrong. You think he’d have some fait after all this time.
