Ange Postecoglou didn’t hold back in his praise of Jota, his now full time winger.
The Portuguese born player signed a long term deal with the club this summer after a successful loan spell where he helped the bhoys to a famous title win.
During the Celtic vs Blackburn pre-season game at Celtic Park, the winger again enjoyed a good game, getting the Hoops back level and turning on the style.
On multiple occasions he made the Blackburn players watch on in awe.
There’s no doubt Celtic have got a bargain for the former Benfica man at around £6m.

Ange made it clear he’s not just signed two players from last season, he believes Celtic have signed better players than the ones who came through the door last season when it comes to CCV and Jota.
The improvement in both their games means Celtic have added real quality to their squad, even if they were here last season.
“There’s no ceiling to Jota’s potential. He was very good today. The attacking players rely on feeling fresh with their athleticism and their speed.
“I know people said we re-signed two players in Jota and Cameron Carter-Vickers this summer. But I think we’ve signed two better players than we had last year. That’s why we brought them in. There’s no reason why Jota can’t go further and take his game to another level.
“Last year was probably the first season he settled somewhere. You got the sense that he felt really good at the club within this group.
“That was his first year of really making an impact. Our job is now to make sure we take him to that next level and give him that chance. He’s a really focused, ambitious guy so I’m sure he’ll do that.”

Celtic fans know what they have with Jota and CCV. Two guys who came in last season and hit the ground running. They’ve worked with the coaching staff for a year, they know their teammates well and there’s mot certainly more to come from both.
We can’t wait to see what the season brings.
