Another Injury Setback for Celtic

With the start of the season just around the corner, Celtic’s new signing Marco Tilio finds himself on the sidelines, having been dealt an unfortunate injury blow before making his official debut in the Hoops.

Despite the setback, the Australian winger’s presence in the team is highly anticipated, and the words from Celtic’s manager Brendan Rodgers only underline this anticipation.

When asked about Tilio’s injury, Rodgers was told SunSport, “Marco had an issue when we signed him, we knew of it. He’ll miss the start of the season as he got injured with Australia.”

Rodgers referred to Tilio as an “exciting winger” and confidently affirmed that “he fits the profile and he’ll do very well.” Despite the fact that the Australian is yet to make his mark on the pitch, Rodgers’ vote of confidence is a promising sign.

Being out injured at the start of a new journey is certainly not ideal. Yet, Marco Tilio is not on the sidelines alone. He joins Alistair Johnston and Mikey Johnston, who are also nursing injuries of their own.

While the trio’s absence from the lineup is a blow to Celtic’s early-season ambitions, the words of their manager imply a sense of resilience and belief in the depth and talent within the squad.

The season ahead promises to be a an exiting one. Even as we miss Tilio’s initial forays in green and white, we can look forward to the moment he steps onto the pitch. His exciting style of play, endorsed Brendan Rodgers, is expected to make a considerable impact.
