There were so many takeaways from Sunday’s game against Dundee Utd. The show stealers Kyogo and Abada will get most of the plaudits, but we’re beginning to see the quieter emergence of Ange’s sleeper signing and I don’t know how many people have noticed.
Aaron Mooy for the final 30 minutes of the game at Tannadice and put in a very good performance. People will say it’s easy to play in a side that was as rampant as Celtic were on Sunday, but you’ll stick out like a sore thumb if you can’t match what the rest of the team is bringing to the table.
Aaron looked comfortable on the field, his passing accuracy was 92%, his long ball success rate was 75%, contributing to Abada’s goal when he weighted a perfect long ball to Daizen Maeda. Mooy also made three recoveries on the day.

Aaron signed for Celtic on a free transfer with very little fanfare. He’s a player who Ange knows very well and believes can fill a role at Celtic.
Mooy is yet to start a match for Celtic, but has been slowly building up his minutes on the park over the past 5 games.
We’re not sure how Ange will approach the League Cup game on Wednesday, but it could be the ideal opportunity to start Aaron and a few more of the bhoys who made their way to Celtic this summer.
Many have spoken about Aaron potentially helping in the holding midfielder role when it comes to Europe, giving him 90 minutes or thereabouts in Dingwall will help him to become sharper.
