Ange’s Hilarious Response in Friday’s Press Conference

The signing of Oliver Abildgaard adds some much-needed height to the Celtic squad, standing at 6″4′.

With Celtic’s play from set-pieces improving so far this season, it’s no surprise to see a tall player walk through the door.

When asked during Friday’s press conference if that was a contributing factor to signing the Danish international, he gave a comical response; [Celtic TV]

“It’s no secret he adds a bit of size to our team. Most of our side will struggle to get on any rides at Disneyland!”

The signing will certainly improve Celtic attacking and defending set pieces.  He’ll also be a great addition to Celtic’s squad and will definitely have a role to play this season. It will be interesting to see if the club will try to sign Oliver permanently next summer if he impresses this season.

Fans eagerly await his debut, with his ability hyped up from those that watched him at Rubin Kazan. It’ll be interesting if he develops into a nailed-on starter as he gets up to scratch or if he’ll play a role from the bench and the odd few games.

With a highly competitive midfield, it’s going to be tough to force a way into the three starting places up for grabs, especially with O’Riley and Hatate performing so well and the captain deemed undroppable by many.
