Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has not wavered in his views on predicting title outcomes only a few months into the season.
His Hoops team are currently seven points clear at the top of the SPFL Premiership and will want to win the two remaining games to put themselves in a comfortable position for after the World Cup.
For a large part of the previous campaign, Postecoglou’s side were playing catch up as the Hoops trailed behind until the 3-0 derby victory over league leaders Rangers who had won the league the previous campaign by 25 points.
The former Socceroos boss shot down any claims about the title being “over” early last season and has not wavered in that opinion.
Under the Greek-Aussie boss, Celtic have shown incredible consistency in the league having only lost once in the past 45 matches showing their laser-focused mindset.

The current Hoops squad now have the experience of getting a title over the line which should serve them well towards the later parts of the campaign but nothing is won yet even thought the shoe is on the other foot this season with Celtic leading the way early on.
“No – because if the mentality changed it would have changed last year as well,” said Ange Postecoglou as quoted by the Daily Record.
“I was pretty consistent last year in saying that looking at a table and trying to predict the outcome at this stage is just ludicrous. Yeah we’re seven points ahead, but we were four points behind a year ago and won the league by four points.
“So nothing changes. It’s not because I’m dismissive of it. Obviously we are in a strong position, but we need to push on.
“Because, even though there’s been a lot of games, the reality of it is we are only a third of the way through the season. The majority of it is still to come. We’ve got to make sure we keep going. We’ve had a really strong start, but the key to us is improving through the season and making an even stronger finish and the rest will take care of itself.”
The Hoops head to Fir Park in their next match to take on Motherwell having previously came up against the Steelmen twice already this season. Postecoglou is all about improving and will want his side to come back after the World Cup and be in an even better position.
