Ange Receives Transfer Boost From Celtic Board

CELTIC still need major reinforcements if they’re to become consistent and really challenge for the title this season. The emergence of Kyogo Furuhashi over the past two games has the Celtic fans buzzing but we still have a defence that needs major surgery.

Kyogo bursting onto the scene makes many fans more comfortable with letting Eddy go this summer.

The Frenchman wants to leave the club in search of his next step in football. Interest in the player at Celtic’s valuation has not been as forthcoming as the club would like.

However, speaking to sources close to the club, they believe a deal is likely before the end of the transfer window.

RecordSport claim once a deal is done, most of the money from the transfer will be reinvested into the squad.

The paper writes: “The Parkhead outfit will bring in around £18m for Edouard if, as expected, he heads to England before the end of the transfer window.

“And Postecoglou has been told that he can reinvest the cash in his squad – with the Aussie on record as saying he is hoping for another two recruits to come through the door by the end of the week.”

PSG still have a massive say in the money involved. The French club have a sell-on clause that will eat away at profit Celtic make on the striker.

Hopefully this saga can draw to an end and the money we do receive will go to good use.
