Ange Provides CCV Update

CAMERON CARTER-VICKERS is missing Celtic’s trip to Madrid through injury. He’s remained in Glasgow while his fellow teammates prepare for the last European game of the season.

Ange Postecoglou has provided an update on the American’s injury, stating that he pulled up sore after the 3-0 win over Livingston. The West Lothian team’s artificial pitch was one of the factors of the injury, with the Celtic boss admitting it didn’t do the defender any favours.

The manager, quoted by Football Scotland, provided the update, saying;

Carter-Vickers pulled up a bit sore after the game on Sunday. The artificial pitch wasn’t great for him so we’ve left him at home.”

The pitch Celtic played on at the weekend was shocking, as it always has been. But, with two teams with an artificial pitch in the top tier, it’s going to be hard to change the regulations. A vote needs to pass 11-1 to be implemented.

Hopefully, it’s nothing too serious and the defender can make a return for Dundee United’s visit at the weekend. Until then, Ange will have to work out who he’ll play with Moritz Jenz in the centre of defence.
