ANGE POSTECOGLOU is in charge of Celtic’s biggest rebuild in over two decades. You could forgive him if he didn’t have time to immerse himself in other facets of our club and history at this juncture – but that’s exactly what he’s doing.
The Celtic gaffer took the time to sit and watch the debut stage show of the Tommy Burns Story.
The cast were delighted to have the manager their and he even came backstage afterwards to talk to the actors.
We spoke with a few people who attended the performance on Tuesday evening and they can’t recommend the show highly enough. There were good laughs and tears shed.
The show description is below:
A play which celebrates the life of the self-proclaimed “supporter who got lucky”. From growing up in the Calton, to play for and managing the club he loved. The play covers the three items he cherished above all else. His family, his faith and his football.
The show is having a short run in the Kerrydale suite at Celtic Park from the 9th to 13th November.
There are tickets still available for Wednesday evening’s performance as we write this – Get tickets here.https://www.universe.com/events/family-faith-football-the-tommy-burns-story-tickets-L8QRJ5
Tommy was a hero to so many of us over the years. From his exploits on the pitch, to being the manager and in his later years, a top coach for the club.
It’s great to see Ange immersing himself in Celtic and learning more of the history of this great club.
Well done to all involved.
