Celtic extended their lead back to twelve points on Sunday afternoon by beating Kilmarnock 4-1 at Rugby Park.
The bhoys had the game finished within half an hour, going four goals up during a relentless first half showing.
Kilmarnock would grab a consolation goal at the end of the first half. The home side struck it lucky when Callum McGregor uncharacteristically dwelled on the ball allowing Killie’s attacking line to spring into life.
The Celtic captain looked irate with himself after the goal went in despite the bhoys already being so far ahead.
The Hoops captain will see that as an unacceptable lapse in concentration from himself and even after the relatively easy win, he’ll be kicking himself.
After the game, the Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou was asked about the mistake his captain made for Kilmarnock’s goal.
In true Ange fashion, the Hoops boss delivered a brilliant one liner and ended it with his trademark, ‘mate’.
“He’s allowed one error in his career, mate.” Ange said with a smirk on his face to BBC Scotland
The Celtic manager will know he doesn’t have to lecture Callum on what went wrong or warn him against future mistakes. The title winning captain knows it’s not something he wants to happen again.
